Product Care

How do I clean my Kuba cloth?

Using a lightly soaked cloth, gently wipe the affected area without putting too much pressure on the cloth. Please note that your Kuba cloth is made out of Raffia fibers, so a lot of water can easily soften and damage it. Upon completion allow the cloth to air dry.

What are Kuba cloths made out off?

Kuba cloths are made out of Raffia Vinifera fibers found in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

What sizes are your Kuba Cloth Pillow covers?

All our Kuba cloth pillows measure 20″x20″ and recommend using similar size inserts.

Do your Kuba Cloth pillow covers come with inserts?

Our pillow covers do not include inserts.

Juju Hats

Do you ship internationally?

Yes we do and please allow 2-3 days to process order and 2-3 weeks for shipping.

What exactly is a Juju hat?

Juju hats are tribal hats made from dyed feathers stitched together onto a raphia base and used in traditional ceremonies by the Bamileke tribe in Cameroon.

How do you hang Juju hats?

Each Juju hat comes with a looped string that can be hung on a wall with a nail or any other form of attachment. The bottom of the hat also has a tab used to push open the hat that can also be utilized as a hanging point.

How does one maintain or clean a juju hat?

Keep in mind these are feathers. If you drop something that stains easily avoid using any alcohol based cleaner as this can break down the feathers. Always spot clean as much as you can. We also recommend spraying the feathers every 3-4 months with an anti-moth spray (found in most drugs stores) to prevent damage.

How big are your Juju hats?

Each Juju hat we sell measures 30 inches in total diameter or 80cm
